Underdogs, I love Panera Bread. It’s one of my favorite big corporations that pretend to care about us. Plus, they have really good food, and I love going through the drive thru and get an alternative to really greasy food. Panera bread is known for their baked goods, sandwiches, and coffee bar. I wanted to pick 3 things from the bakery to try out for you, and for science! These are my own thoughts and opinions on the products from Panera Bread. This is not a sponsored post. However, if you ever want to, hook a sister up! I hope you enjoy my Panera Bakery Haul. I promise that I didn’t eat all of these in one setting!  I eventually ate them all, but it was over a few days and not a few minutes. If I was on my period, that would be a different story. I am not sure if these are available at all locations, but these were at my local store. Let’s take a look!

1.Bear Claw:

I have never had a Bear Claw before, but I know many who enjoy these for breakfast. I have always wanted to try them, but they are so big. I have always been too intimated to buy one because if I do, and I don’t like it, there is a lot of the Bear Claw left over. This is how Panera website describes their version of the Bear Claw. “Freshly baked pastry made with filling and drizzled with icing and sliced almonds.” https://www.panerabread.com This is a very flaky, with white drizzle, and very thinly sliced almonds. The first taste of the Bear Claw and all I could think was it tasted like a slightly sweeter version of a croissant. It smells very sweet with lots of cinnamon. I’m glad that the Bear Claw isn’t too overwhelming. It’s like a layer of cinnamon surrounded by a flaky pastry. The price is $2.39 which honestly isn’t that bad at all. I probably won’t get this again. Not because it’s bad, but it’s just not my thing. It was good, but I rather try something else out next time than repeat getting this from Panera. Even though it’s not my thing, I appreciate it for what it is and I give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

2.Chocolate Chip Muffie:

Such a strange name for  such a sweet treat. Basically, you can look at any of the Muffie from Panera and think it’s a flat muffin, or even better, a flat version of the top part of the muffin. They were sold out of other versions of this Muffie, so I got the chocolate chip. The chocolate chips are small, and this tastes very much like a regular muffin, or even a pancake that has more fluff to it. Panera describes this item as, “freshly baked muffie topped with semi sweet chocolate.” I would say if you like soft chocolate chip cookies, or chocolate chip pancakes, then you would most likely enjoy this product. This was only $1.79, which is an excellent price. I would suggest getting a cup of coffee with this because it can be a bit dry. I would get this again, but it’s nothing super special. I would give it a 4 out 5 stars.

3. Cinnamon Crunch Scone:

This is a cousin to Panera Cinnamon Crunch bagel. This is a normal scone that is a bit stale like, with flavoring and a topping of cinnamon. There are small pops of the cinnamon flavor in the pastry itself as well. Panera website says this scone is, “cream based scone flavored with cinnamon chips, cinnamon crunch and white glaze.” Honestly,  this tastes a lot like if you took the Brown Sugar Pop Tarts and turned it into a Scone. The glaze topping from the pop tart tastes just like the scone. I’m not sure if this is because I got the scone later in the day, or if this is how it’s supposed to be, but it was very hard. I know scones are known for their tougher texture, but this was pretty rough. I liked it okay, but the scone was very sweet. I will give it a 3 out of 5 because the taste is very dominate and you don’t have to guess what you are eating. That can be very rare, so I will give them credit.

Out of the 3 Panera items, I enjoyed the Muffie the most. It was fun to taste things that I have never tried before. There are several more items that I can try at a later time. The other two items were okay, but nothing I would go and purchase again for myself. I would get them for other’s to try out, but they just aren’t my thing. It’s fun to explore new things, and this was a fun experiment! How about trying something from my affiliate programs for yourself? Leave you comments below about what your favorite item from Panera Bread is, and what would you recommend!
