Bubble Face Mask

I was super excited to get to try out a bubble face mask for the very first time! This bubble mask is from a company called H20 Beauty, called Rapids Soothing Probiotic Bubble Mask. I have seen these all over the place, and was super excited to try them out. I have seen and read enough about them to know that these bubble masks may really get all over the place. In fact, some people have so much bubbles on their face after trying these masks out, that you can’t even seen their faces any longer! I read the directions a few times and kept this in mind as I applied. Here is my experience with this bubble face mask.

First, I started with a clean face. This wasn’t outlined in the directions. However, a majority of the time, it is recommend to start with a clean face in order to get the best result. It took a bit to get the package open, so much so that I had to get scissors to cut it open. That isn’t a huge deal to me because it is really keeping the package sealed. The back of the package does state that if your skin is mad at you, this is the best thing for you to use! I was curious because I have used several face masks in the past that make this claim, but are actually painful or cause a lot of itching.

My first thing is the sniff test. There is a very light fragrance coming from this bubble mask. It isn’t horrible, but this is one of my pet peeves when it comes to face masks. I think they should only have a natural smell and nothing added to them because this is one thing that could cause a lot of skin irritation. The scent was sweet, like a sweet tart, or jolly rancher. It was just a hint of the smell so I was confident to try it out.

The bubble mask itself was clear, which surprised me. It also was thick. The best way to describe the look was a more bubbled version of rubber cement that is clear. It felt very heavy and stick, which again was a surprise because bubbles are so light and airy. The directions said to spread a thick layer over the face, and expect bubbles from the mask to happen pretty fast. This wasn’t a joke. I spread it from the left side, to the right and almost instantly, the left side started to bubble up. I could hear it, and feel it. For a few moments, I thought that only half of my face would work because the right side wasn’t bubbling. After about 30 seconds, it all started and this thick sticky mask turned into a soft and bubbling mask.

I set my timer for 12 minutes since it suggested to leave the mask on between 10 and 15 minutes. There was not a moment where I didn’t feel something the entire time the bubble mask was on my face. It bubbled, foamed and tickled. It made me laugh a few times. It was an odd feeling. Normally, if I was doing a different type of face mask, I would put it on, then go about my business doing work, or chores. This time I didn’t feel as though I could because I thought the bubble mask would fall off my face. In fact, it felt like it was dripping down my face. It wasn’t, but it felt that way. This mask was so active, that it seemed as though it were moving. It was a strange feeling. I could also hear the sound of the bubbles foaming. This could bother some people, but I tuned it out.

I went into the kitchen to fix some coffee, however, and all of a sudden realized that the foaming had stopped. I couldn’t hear or feel them on my face any longer. The alarm went off about a minute after I made that realization and my face was clear of any bubbles. This could have been due to the fact that I may have needed to put a thicker layer of mask on in the first place. I’m honestly not too sure about that, or if the bubbles just go away at a certain point. The direction says to massage your face for at least 30 seconds before washing your face off with warm water. I was taken aback at home sticky my face felt. Again, this is a huge contract between the soft bubbles and the stickiness left of my face. I was a bit concerned that it was going to be hard to get this stuff off my face, but it easily came off with the warm water. I wouldn’t try colder water at all because I could see it being an issue getting it all off your face.

My thoughts on this bubble mask were pretty good. For the first time in a long time, I didn’t have my face itch or bother me while I was using a face mask. It felt strange with the foaming, and it did have a sound that I can see would annoy some people. It did cool that face, which as many of you know, is one of my favorite things! I love a mask that cools. The downsides were it felt as though the bubble mask was going to slush off my face. I didn’t feel like I could do anything but make some coffee while I was waiting because the mask really did feel like it was coming off of my face. That is also a personal preference, but I like to feel like I can do other things while I have a face mask on and not be restricted because it felt like it could fall me. Because of that reason only, I gave this bubble mask a 4 out of 5 stars. Otherwise, I really loved this mask and I will be trying it again!

Five Movies That Wouldn’t Make it Today

This post contains affiliate links of several movies. For more information, check out the self promotion page.

Have you ever watched a movie from your childhood and realized that there is no way in the world that it would work in today’s world? These movies that I am talking about are not the ones from the 1940’s, or the 1950’s. These movies would be from a time not that too far in the past. I am talking about the 1980’s to even the early 2000’s. While we may enjoy these movies, the same story would not work at all in today’s world. Here is a list of the 5 movies that would be vastly different if they were written today. Most likely, they wouldn’t be a very long movie at all!

1.Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle:

This movie came out in 2004. It follows college friends, Harold and Kumar on their adventures to get to White Castle while they are drunk and stoned. They go on an adventure and silliness happens. However, there is no way this movie would take place today due to all the options of deliver. This would be the entire movie.

Harold: I’m hungry, let’s go to White Castle.

Kumar: That’s a great idea, but we are drunk and stoned.

Harold: Let’s use Uber Eats or Door Dash. That way we aren’t leaving the house!

Kumar: Great, I will use the app on my phone.

Roll Credits!

2. E.T.

This beautiful classic movie came out in 1982, It follows an alien who is hiding out with a boy and his family while trying to escape the government. Today this movie would be very different.

Aliens land, everyone takes pictures on their smart phones. They are quickly uploaded to YouTube and the government quickly silences it as a joke. There is no family interaction, nor fear of keeping the alien safe since everyone, everyone is being filmed at all times. The alien would never have a chance to make it to a family, and there wouldn’t be any sort of amazing bike ride, or any phoning home.

3. The Breakfast Club:

This John Hughes Classic from 1985 follows students from very different backgrounds who bond during their detention on a Saturday at school. Today it would never happen.

Students get Saturday school for various deeds done wrong. Some parents threaten to sue the school over harsh treatment and going to school on a Saturday. The students who actually make it to Saturday school never speak because they are on their phones the whole time. Several take this as an opportunity to post Instagram posts about how unfair this whole thing is and how detention is stupid!

4. Overboard:

While there is a remake to this 1987 movie in the works now,  the original story in today’s world would never work today.

A very rich woman falls overboard and forgets who she is. Even though she doesn’t have a wallet or any ID on her there is a plan. The doctors and nurses take her photo and release it to the media. Moments later, she is identified and is able to go back to her family and life after getting the care she needs. She never lives with another family who claims her after she was terrible to them.

5. Edward Scissor Hands:

This fantasy film came out in 1990. While a lovely movie, it would never be made today.

A young man who lived in a strange man’s home is discovered by a retailer. He is abandoned and looks very dangerous. Her survival instincts kick in, and she runs away after dialing 911. The young man is taken into custody and is treated for his hands, and his physiological issues. This takes years and lots of trial and error. Eventually, he becomes part of society while never interacting with the family of the realtor who found him.

While these movies are loved, they just wouldn’t be made in the same way today. Something has been lost in our advance world. We have more ways to keep in touch, but so many more ways to limit imagination. It’s important to be entertained, but it’s also important to have heart. It’s fun to enjoy what was, and hope we still have great stories to look forward to!

Brittany Murphy’s Death:Part One

Brittany Murphy was a very young actress who tragically passed away a few years ago. While it’s isn’t near the anniversary of her death, recently, I have been hearing and seeing so much about her strange tale. When she died, I was sad but honestly I wasn’t surprised.  The months, and even the last few years leading up to her death seemed like Brittany was on some sort of bender. She had lost a lot of weight and seemed to be confused on her accent while on talk shows. For example, randomly talking in an English accent during one interview to only talk with a harsh New York accent in the next. It wasn’t a far reach to believe that she was mixed up in drugs. It was strange, but nothing compares to the strange story of her death, and the death of her husband. Both of which died in the exact same manner only months apart from one another.

For those who don’t know anything about Brittany Murphy, she was most famous for her role in the movie, “Clueless.” She played the girl who received the makeover. After that movie, she had a string of roles including being a voice actress. She voiced Luanne from “King of the Hill,” a personal favorite of mine. Brittany was also in the award winning movies, “8 Mile,” and “Girl, Interrupted.” She also did some singing and stage acting. She had a long career with lots of various roles ranging from comedy to drama. By the end of her life, she wasn’t in high demand but continued to make many independent films and voiced in video games.  Brittany was known for her silly voice, her big eyes, and her strange behavior that could be considered a nervous attempt at comedy.

See the source image

Brittany Murphy was engaged to actor Ashton Kutcher for years, but they never got married. She was engaged several other times before getting married in 2007 to writer Simon Monjack.  Simon was older than Brittany and several people, including her ex, Ashton Kutcher, expressed their fears with the influence that Simon seemed to have over her. The dramatic weight loss, and behavior changes happened after her relationship with Simon had started, and never had the chance to win. Many people close to her claimed that drugs were not part of Brittany’s life at all. In fact, many said she had a medical issue that she knew about since she was a child. It was something that scared her away from a life of drugs and everyone swore that she never touched them. However, something was causing her weight loss and her behavior, and many pointed the finger at Simon. She looked not only awful, but very unhealthy and many people were afraid for her life.

It didn’t seem like much would come from these thoughts and fears, especially since Brittany’s own Mother, Sharon, moved in and lived with the married couple until Simon’s death. Her career seemed to stall, but there was a lot of buzz about her new independent films that were coming out. Sadly, on December 20th, 2009, Brittany passed away at her home after being found unresponsive in her shower. Her husband, Mom, and paramedics were unable to resuscitate her. She was only 32 years old. and her death was quickly ruled to be natural causes. This, of course, lead to a lot of questions because in this day in age, 32 and natural death is not one in the same. There is a reason a person that young passes away.

First, the initial thoughts from many people was that Brittany died of a drug overdose. While this seemed to be disprove, it wasn’t a stretch. The next theory was that she passed from a disease that she and her family were keeping away from the public eye, such as advance cancer. Then, the first official cause of death was released and phenomena was blamed. While uncommon for a person of this age to die from phenomena, it is possible, especially if she really had an illness that would already compromise her immune system.  However, that didn’t stop there. People started questioning the cause of death and we started hearing things like poison, toxic substances, anemia, mold issues and murder. The death of her husband, Simon, followed several months later and his cause of death was the exact same! This went from a sad and tragic story about a young actress who died, to a strange situation with lots of unanswered questions.

In the next post, I will go over the theories. In this post, I want to make clear that I don’t believe for a second that these deaths were natural. While there are logical explanations, they simply do not add up. Lets explore the natural death aspects. Illegal drugs were never found in Brittany’s system, but she did have several prescription drugs that would be used for someone who was ill. Prescription drugs are used all of the time, however, it was noted that Brittany did not abuse these drugs, but took them as directed. There could have been a reaction to the drugs, but most likely if that was the case, the reaction would have happened well before she died. She could have died from phenomena, but how in the world did her husband pass away in the exact same way? Yes, he could have gotten the same illness, but there was no indication that Simon had been sick. The most logically explanation is toxic poisoning from mold. This also doesn’t add up because Sharon never got sick, neither did their animals or any visitors to the home. Mold was also never found in their home. So we are left with two dead people, and no logical natural reasons for why.

This is a long, strange, and sad case. We will explore next time how Brittany’s father believes his daughter was murdered, how she was mixed up with a person who was on the terrorist list. We will also look at her Mom, Sharon who was present at both deaths, and how she may even be a suspect. There is no real answer, and these are real people. I will try to proceed with caution and respect, but if Brittany Murphy and her husband, Simon were killed, then their story needs to be told, and they deserve justice. Maybe through a theory, the truth will be found. At least people are talking!

Let’s Not Try This: Internet Challenge

Internet challenges are stupid, and deadly, Underdogs!  I am dumbfounded on how many people are actively trying out the latest one which is the Tide Pod Challenge. It’s not like they are small children who don’t know any better, but teens and young adults. I know we all did things as teenagers that were down right dangerous and stupid. The teenager’s brain has not fully devolved and they have a sense of immortality that puts them in near death situations. We have all been there. We have driven too fast, drank too much, and done some very dumb things. While many internet, such as the Rainbow Party that Oprah reported on, is fake, the Tide Challenge is sadly very real.

I was lucky and didn’t grow up with social media, so I can hope I wouldn’t have been so desperate for being included that I would willingly take part in this internet challenge. However, I was a girl who didn’t fit in, and went to a very small high school. Anything is possible, and because of this very thought process, I believe that anyone could be desperate enough for a moment of acceptance. Which makes this whole thing even more dangerous.  For the last several years, I have seen young girls and boys destroy their face with the lip challenge. I have seen people literally kill themselves after trying to take the most dangerous selfie as possible. Most of the time of top of very high places, and falling to their death. While those are each horrible in their own right, the Tide Pod Challenge is truly stupid, but attractive to so many people who are wanting to do anything to fit in.

This internet challenge is where people take the Tide Pod, which is full of soap and chemicals, and eat it as though it were candy. They don’t just bit into it and spit it out, they eat it, and swallow the contents. The film themselves and post it on social media, showing they can do it and challenging their friends to partake. Let’s be very clear, if this doesn’t kill you, it will cause a lot of damage including heart, liver, and breathing problems. It can end your life, or lead to terrible things down the road like cancer. Why in the world would people willingly do this to themselves for a stupid challenge?

Of course, there is peer pressure. It is now a world where peer pressure just isn’t done by students or people around you, but strangers you have never met on social media. It is hard enough to become an individual and grow up to form your own thoughts and opinions. With the onset of social media, we all now have online personas to deal with as well as in real life. Sometimes, the pressure from the online world is so much worse than in real life, which leads people to do stupid things such as taking part in an internet challenge. There is also something called oral fixation which is a psychological issue that can cause people to have an obsession with putting things in their mouth. This could mean sucking on fingers or thumbs for an extend amount of time after early childhood. Many people with an oral fixation are smokers and have food issues. It is actually very common. It is possible that when presented with something that seems like it should go into your mouth, it is too tempting for those suffering from t3his issue to say no. They may not even understand that they have an issue since it is on an unconscious level.

The point is, while there is understanding to why people are doing this internet challenge, it doesn’t mean that anyone should ever do this for a moment. We need to stop giving stupid ideas like this so much attention. I understand the irony in this blog post, because writing about it gives the attention that is sought. However, there is a source to these stupid challenges. It’s usually a very insecure person, or a psychopath. Don’t let your life be ruined by someone who has no clue who you are as a person. Don’t let someone how the power to take your life of destroy your health because of an internet challenge. I don’t mean to sound crass, but no one cares about the ones who follow the trends blindly. They care about those who are smart enough to rise about the strangeness and the pressure to become their own person. Leave those who want you to fit into a box behind, and live your life for your for you. None of those strangers that you are trying to impress will help you if you get sick. Live your best life.

Where have I been? A Caregiver’s Life

Hello Underdogs. As you know, I am a caregiver but many of you may not understand what this means. This means that I provide help for those who need it medically. That is from cooking, to cleaning to giving medicine and so much more.  I love blogging but times like these make it very tough to keep on top on anything outside of the people that I take care of and help. I know that I made it a goal to post on the proper days and be consistent. That goal, along with a lot of things in life went out the window on Sunday. I also want to give a small glimpse of what it is like for those who are caregivers. Every story is different, and person has different needs. In the United States alone, there are over 31% of households that have a full time family caregiver. This is a person  is a family member or friend who takes the place of medical professionals that are very costly, and insurance may not cover. There is very little help out there for people who take on this role. Most work full time jobs as well as taking care of people full time. I take care of two people full time, but between those hours, I can’t work “a real job.” Many caregivers like me are laughed at and taunted because in the eyes of many, we “don’t work.”

I am personally very tired of how we caregivers are treated or seen. It has never been by any people in the medical field that I have worked with, or friends. This all comes from family members (not all) who claim to know more yet never visit or help. People who know the health of the people I take care of who feel they know the situation better, or those who just can’t understand that if you don’t punch a time clock, you aren’t working. While many of them work a 9-5 job, I work 12 to 24 hours a day. For example, on Sunday night, I had to wake up and give med every single 15 minutes for 24 hours. When I hoped for a difference the next day, I got one. Instead of every 15 minutes, it went to every 10 minutes for the next 24 hours. Then every half hour for the next 24 hours. I didn’t sleep for 3 days. We were in the hospital for 6 days. That doesn’t mean that was the only thing I had to worry about, because I take care of another person too. I also have dogs, and once in awhile, I need to remember that I have my own things going on that need attention as well.

Life doesn’t stop moving even though you world is crumbling, however life demands that you adjust quickly. I remember the day my Dad died this though kept  going in my mind. My entire world shattered, so how were other people walking around and living their life as if nothing happened. How were people able to smile, and drive, and shop, and eat when my entire life had ended in that moment. And my life did end at the moment because  the person I was, and wanted to be died in order to start taking care of other people who needed it. I’m not trying to sound selfish or dramatic because what needed to be done, had to be done. I wouldn’t change any of it, except the heartache that I get from so many people who claim that this isn’t work. I have never worked more hours, or harder ever in my entire life.

As a caregiver, you have these earth shattering moments more often than you may realize. This week was a big one, and I realized how hard it is to continue to find a balance. I had to put aside some things that I wanted to do, and things I even committed to in order to provide the new level of help that is needed. I also have that other pesky thing called paying the bills. Caregivers don’t get help, and I’m not trying to say whoa is us! There is nothing available to any of us even though our work saves millions of dollars from insurance money to medical bills, to the government. While there is savings for the person, and those agencies, it comes to great financial cost to those who are the caregivers. The percentage of those who can get some help is very little because there are so many hoops to jump through. To date, only 12 states have some sort of program to help assist caregivers, and I don’t live in those states. There are over 70 million of us unpaid caregivers who keep working our insane hours, but can’t even be seen as a person who works a real job. It’s a tough place to be in.

I will never change the time I have helped and worked as a caregiver. I will continue to do so as long as needed.  There is no work that I have done that is more important. I have never hurt so much, or seen the very best of people. You see more about life in these horrible situations than you will ever realize. Those give you moments of hope, and moments to realize the world isn’t so terrible. I can’t ever become a nurse after this, even though I highly admire all of them for there difficult work. They are under appreciated, overworked, and underpaid. While we caregivers have little to no chance to get paid for the work we do, these wonderful nurses need to be recognized for all of their hard work, and all they do. I find that we all work together for the best instance for the people we take care of. We are a team that work together, and that relationship is very important.

If this may seem jumbled, it is because it is. I want this to be realistic, because as a caregiver, you life is in jumbles. Nothing is easy from point A to point B. Every single day, curve balls are thrown that may be a game changer. No two days are alike, and you may have to adjust minute by minute. When you fail, it could mean life or death. There is a lot of heartache, a lot of depression, and a lot of devastation. My goal is to have caregivers recognized as people who work real jobs, with real work. This is why I do anything that I can to “hustle” some money now and then because I’m not “working a real job,” but have real bills. I find good and happiness while I can which includes blogging. I love blogging so much and that can keep me going some days. I can hope someone who is a caregiver like me may read this and understand that they aren’t alone. Life is hard, but you are appreciated. You do the hard work that no one sees, but it doesn’t make it any less real or important.  You are amazing, loved and supported, even if you don’t realize it! Keep doing the great work because it matters, and you matter!

I’m going to leave you with a small change to my format. I will only be posting 3 days a week instead of 4. I may do the 4th when I am able. The posting dates will remain the same, I just may not get ever single Sunday done. I love blogging so much, and in order to keep going I need make a few adjustments. I hope you all can stay with me during this adjustment phases, and keep coming back to read and comment on my posts. Thank you all who have been there and keep coming back to this page!

These Things I Believe

Underdogs, I realize that my wonderful readers may not know me very well, including what I believe. I thought since it’s supernatural Sunday, I would give you a list of things that may seem spooky or other worldly and let you know what I believe. What I like about beliefs is that they can grow and change. What I don’t like about them is some people hold on to what they believe with all their might. However, it might be very damaging to do so. For example, believing that looking at the sky will turn your hair purple. You spend your entire life looking down, and miss a good chunk of the world around you. Here are some things that I believe.

I have always believed that ghosts are real. I think that I have had plenty of things happen in my life that makes me believe that there is something out there beyond us. I have seen people that aren’t there. I have heard things such as my name being called. I have had that prickling feeling down the back of my neck where all the hairs stand on end.  It’s such a strange thing, but I think ghosts are real. I am a skeptic, so I do look at each story and try to take each one of them as they come. There are some that I can disprove, and move on from. However, there are several that I can’t find any explanation for, and ghosts are a big one.

It would be crazy to believe we are alone in the universe. We have no clue how big the known universe is since we have no technology to help us. The universe could be as big as infinity for all we know. I think it is very vain to believe that we are the only living and intelligent beings. The odds are so vastly against that, I don’t think it’s even calculable. We are not alone, and I think we have had visitors. I think we will have proof in our lifetime that aliens are real.

3. Men in Black:

There are 3 movies and a Marvel comic out about this topic. I’m not talking about any of them. I’m talking about the group of people who apparently show up after an encounter with a UFO. I don’t have permission to talk about the story that I have heard, however I think these beings are real. They are supposed to be men who are bald, and wearing black hat and suits. They look identical and seem to read your thoughts. The MIB have been described as looking as though they were wearing masks. Like the skin was not real, and was pulled over like a mask. They seem like they are wearing make up and don’t look “real” at all. I think they are the keepers of alien information and they are trying to control what they can shield from the public.

4. Reincarnation:

This is where people believe that after you die, you will come back again as another person. Over half of the world believe this, while the other half does not. I think reincarnation is very real. I have written about some of my experiences in the past and will expand on them later if you want to hear my stories. I have memories of things that did not happen in this life. I don’t think this, I know it to be true with ever fiber of my being.

5. The Lock Ness Monster:

Something that is a bit funny. I had to add it in here. I think it’s possible for beings like the Lock Ness Monster to be very real. Nessie is a magical being that lives in Scotland. There is no proof outside of some old photos. Could a huge being that we don’t really know anything about be real? Of course! We haven’t explored the depths of every pool of water or every ocean. I’m sure there are animals that we can’t even imagine because we have seen so little of the number of animals on and off land. Nessie could be real.

Those are just a few things that I believe. There is a lot of wiggle room on these beliefs. I question them, but I think it is always healthy to do just that. If you don’t break it down and explore why you believe in certain things, you are doing yourself a disservice. You need to understand why you believe something before you are willing to debate and defend it.

Do you believe in any of these things? Leave your comments below.

Paul is a Zombie

Underdogs, if you didn’t know my all time favorite band is The Beatles. I’m a huge fan of Paul McCartney as well, which means that I haTve heard the old conspiracy theory. The theory is that Paul is dead and he was replaced by a look a like. There are many clues that make people come to this conclusion. If this is true, then the living Beatles and their company has been fooling the public for over 40 years! That is a pretty long time for a theory to remain alive, while Paul remains dead. Like a zombie, this rumor keeps coming back. Let’s take a look and see why some many people believe that Paul is dead.

First, let’s go over the facts. Paul McCartney was involved in a minor car accident in 1967. No one was hurt beyond some bumps and bruises, and some damages. No fatalities were ever reported, but somehow this turned from an accident into Paul being killed. There was a person who was from Iowa who wrote an article about he thought there were clues that Paul had been killed. A radio D.J. also added fuel to the fire by broadcasting his views and saying he there are many clues to show that Paul isn’t just dead, but has been replaced by a look alike! It may be hard to imagine now, but radio D.J’s had a lot of power back in the day. One of them saying something about a conspiracy would catch on like wild fire and it would be equated to something trending on Twitter today.

See the source image

One of the clues people point to is the cover of the Beatles last studio album called, “Abbey Road.” John, Paul, George, and Ringo are simple walking across the street. This has become one of the most iconic musically and pop culture images ever. The only thing that is sort of strange is that Paul is not wearing any shoes.People claim this is symbolic of a funeral procession. There are also clues in the music itself. In the song, “Strawberry Fields Forever,” we can hear John saying something at the very end of the song that sounds very eerily like, “I buried Paul.” This was disproved as it was John really saying a nonsense term, “Cranberry Sauce.” Including in the “Sergeant Peppers” album is a picture of all the Beatles but only with Paul with his back turned away from the camera.

Other clues include the wreath of flowers on the cover of “Sergeant Peppers” which is in the shape of a bass guitar. Also, there are a few claims that if you play “Revolution Number 9” backwards, you hear John say, “I miss Paul.” The invention of the character Billy Shears is supposed to be the name of the person who replaced Paul. The biggest clue is that Ringo Starr himself did an interview in the past few years that admitted that Paul is dead and he was replaced. What a way to blow your mind! Didn’t you know that the lyric, “he blew his mind out in a car” from “A Day in the Life” refereed to Paul’s car accident? It’s a very terrible ordeal.

A piece of evidence that I keep hearing over and over again is that the truth is in the music. What people mean is that Paul’s music is no where near as amazing as what it was when he was with the Beatles. In fact, everything that he did in Wings, and his solo career are more bubble gum pop, and just not as steller and deep as some of the Beatles tracks. People also say that he doesn’t sound the same as he used to, meaning that Paul is dead and his replacement is just no where near as good.

All of this is laughable to me. I am a conspiracy theorist, but this one has always made me chuckle. Let’s break this down. There was an accident but it was not fatal for anyone. The Beatles crossing the street was the idea of the photographer. Paul was not wearing shoes for two very good reason. First, it was incredibly hot that day, and he was sweating. He tried to cool off by taking off his shoes. The second reason is that it was the Sixties. It was not unusual to see people walk around bare foot. This was just a moment caught in a photo. There are outtakes of this photo that didn’t make the cover which Paul had on shoes. As for Paul having his back towards the camera, that actually was an actor! There is a small bit of truth in this whole thing. Paul was booked for another project the day they were shooting the album art. They brought in a person who wore the same size as Paul to get the photo they needed. This is not abnormal even today.

The bass wreath was in honor of Stu Sheffiled who was a former member of the Beatles. He passed away in his twenties from head trauma due to a fight. They all worked with him, and this was a way to pay tribute to their friend. As far as what people have heard in songs, it is all up to interpretation. This was the Sixties, and people were experimenting with all sorts of things in the world of music. There are some things hidden in many songs.  Th Beatles, as well as many other groups, experimented with backwards tracks and subliminal messages. This was meant for art, not for anything deep. Plus, these guys were on a lot of drugs. They may have been reciting their grocery list and people took it as a deep and meaningful message. The lyric about blowing his mind out in the car was a line written by John. The whole song is about his friend, a member of the royal family, who was killed in a car.

As far as Paul’s music being too pop, it always has been. I have read countless books on the Beatles where both John and even Paul joke about this very topic. Paul is excellent at writing an upbeat, catchy song. However, it may not have a lot of substance to it. That has been since he was writing songs. There is a reason why his songs are so well loved, because he appeals to a lot of people. He has never been a super deep writer, save for a few songs. However, he knows how to write a popular song. The man sounds different because he is older. However, I have seen him alive in concert and he is amazing! It was literally the best concert that I have ever seen in my life.

I don’t think there real substance here. This is a great story, and I think generations of people are having fun connecting the dots. However, Paul McCartney is alive and well, and we should enjoy him while we have him here. He is a living legend, not a zombie. Take a chance to see him if you ever get it, and listen to his music often. There is a reason his, and the Beatles music is the best in the world which inspired millions of people and artists.

What do you think, is Paul dead?

Too Far, Logan

Traditionally, it’s try it Tuesday. However, I am so grossed out by what Logan Paul did, I feel like I need to address this situation. If you don’t know what is going on, then I am going to warn you that this may cause some people to be triggered because of the severity of the situation. If you have been affected by someone who has taken their own life, or are upset by mental illness and suicide, then please stop reading this post. This blog will contain information about a YouTube star who filmed something extremely inappropriate and it is very upsetting. I want to let you know now, that there is help out there at no cost.  If you need help, do not hesitate to reach out. This  the phone number to the  National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, as well as the link to their site 1-800-273-8255: https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/

Recently, YouTube famous actor Logan Paul made a video about a place in Japan that is known as the suicide forest. This is a world famous place for the amount of people who come to the forest to end their life. It is so bad that the government has taken precautions with signs all over asking people to reconsider. Some of those signs include messages like, “Think of your loved ones,” and “There is hope.” Unfortunately suicide is such a regular occurrence that the forest is check daily for bodies. Due to it’s sheer size, bodies may be out there for some time before being discovered. Many YouTubers, ghost hunters, and even officials have gone to this forest in an attempt to discover why this is happening. There is also legends of this place being haunted because of all the terrible things that have happened. Until now, no body has been shown that isn’t digitally altered to protect the identity of the victim.

Logan Paul and his team went to Aokigohara forest to film and make a blog. This blog has since been taken down on YouTube, however it is out there forever and can be found. I will not lead you to it, but an important lesson to learn is once something is posted online, it will never go away and can always be recovered. Unless you want something out there, don’t post it! The video is about 15 minutes and there is some traveling aspects involved. As they go through the forest, they come upon a body of a man hanging from a tree. Logan quickly turns to confusion and then fear. However, there is a lot of joking going on, while the man hanging from the tree is made fun of by Logan and his team. They go so far to laugh at him and make jokes. You can very clearly hear laughter and sick comments being made about the dead man hanging right in front of them.

Logan Paul and his team had a lot of time to edit this footage. Uploading this video that way that they did was intentional.  Their headline for the video was, “We found a dead body, Not click bate. *Emotional. This means that millions of his very young viewers were clicking on this video and watching Logan not only find a body, but make jokes of the victim. While he claims he was doing this to bring awareness to suicide prevention, he took advantage of the person who ended their own life. He showed their face, laughed at him, and used his death for views. This poor man’s family found out about his death because of this, and now they are being harassed in their darkest hour. Not only in this in very poor taste, but it’s plain wrong. They made the choice to do the post the way that they did. If Logan really wanted to bring awareness to mental illness and suicide prevention, he went about it all wrong.

In his obligatory apology letter, Logan claimed youth and not understanding that this would get the terrible reaction that it brought. While he is only in his early twenties, most people can grasp the reality of the tragedy of discovering a suicide. They made the choice to film the project. They made the choice to edit the project the way that they did, and release it to the world. Logan wanted views, and this was a huge way to get them. However, what is this going to cost? Is this enough to drive some of his very young fans over the edge? He is showing how much a joke they made of the victim they found. How is this bringing any awareness? How is this helping anyone?

I know there are many out there that will claim that it’s no bid deal because Logan, just like everyone else, has the right to make video posts just like he did. The truth is, he does have every right to do this blog. Just because he can, does it mean that he should? There have been others who have done a video in this forest, however they tend to blur out the faces. They also tend to not make fun of the victim. Finding that body made him responsible to take action. He could have still made a video, but he could have omitted his grotesque behavior as well as those who were in his crew. He could have discovered the body and then cut it to explain what had happened. Logan could have let the world know his feelings and fears about suicide and how this one day changed his life. The impact from a proper post could have made a lot of positive difference. However, he choose to do this in a disrespectful way and instead of raising awareness, he offended and harmed a lot of people.

I want to be very serious here and voice my strong thoughts on this matter. Mental illness is laughed at and misunderstood every single day. If there wasn’t such a stigma attached to getting help, or even understanding that it is a disease, then maybe more people would seek help. Depression, anxiety, and other mental illness are made to seem like they are a choice. It is very dangerous to continue the image that these issues are nothing more than feelings that someone needs to get over by getting out in fresh air, positive thought, or changing their attitude. That is not reality. Mental illness is very real, and this misunderstanding is costing lives. It is not a laughing matter. It is not helping anyone to laugh and exploited a person who has just ended their live and use it for click bait. It is irresponsible and has set a lot of people’s efforts back to square one.

If you are depressed, you are not experiencing an emotion that you can just get over. The illness is just as real as cancer and heart disease. The difference is no one makes fun of a person or judges them for taking action to help their issues unless it’s related to metal illness. Everyday, people are shamed into not taking care of themselves because of how many people misunderstand and are misinformed about the realities of mental illness. Many times, those who are suffering are made fun of, leaving the people too scared to get help. Why would they when no one hears them when they are calling out for much needed help. There is nothing wrong with seeking out help. Do not let some Youtuber or anyone else make you feel inferior and not worthy of getting treatment. We need you, we all need you to be here so please reach out. Then spread the word on how mental illness is very real, and that suicide is not the answer.

You are special. You deserve a healthy life, and there is no shame in getting help. Let’s turn this monstrous issue into something positive and raise awareness about how much help is there, and how much mental illness is not a joke! Logan Paul will fade away, but the reality of your worth in this world will never go away. Take the step to reach out if you need to. Support those you love who are going through a rough time. Together, we can do so much better.
